Problem

A survey reports that adults dine out three times per month and order delivery more than four times per month, with 57% saying they prefer takeout/delivery while 43% prefer eating at a restaurant. There is also a notable gap that exist in the market, where no platform seamless integrates the needs of users, including features like ordering delivery, reserving tables, accessing menus, and reading reviews.

Solution

  • Create an app that allows users to order delivery but also reserve seats at restaurants.

  • Include features such as accessing menus, reviews, ordering for pick-ups, browsing through restaurant, and more.

  • MUNCH aims to be the comprehensive app that seamlessly integrates the functionalities of popular platforms like Yelp, Resy, and Seamless.

The initial wireframe illustrates the user journey from the homepage to the food page. This user flow holds significance as it is apart of the primary path that users are expected to follow.

Takeaways & Next Steps

Looking into user pain points, I created visually appealing solutions, growing my motivation to dig deeper into the realms of UX/UI design. Comparing the data and feedback from first usability test and the final one, I have successfully lowered user errors during user interactions by 75%, which was a significant achievement for me.

Next Steps

  • implement user tracking features for delivery orders.
